Rock the Red

My English home

The first week went by in such a rush, that I completely forgot to show you pictures from my currently home here in York. In a really nice residential neighbourhood there is a small blind street called Leeside, and that’s where I will be living for the next 6 weeks (so weird now to write 6 weeks and not 7, haha). The fact that it’s the only white house on the whole street, makes the house really special and charming! It’s not a big house, but there is a lot of small corridors with small rooms on each side, so there is room for a lot of people. And there definitely is a lot of people in the house! Right now we are 6 students living here together with the family that withhold 3 people; my host mom Emma, her busband Jonathan and their 12 year old daughter Alex, who is one of the most funny girls I’ve ever met, haha. The other students living here are all super sweet, but we mostly talk to Sara, who is also attending York College. She is 17, from Northern Norway, and she is going to stay here for the whole year! The other student is called Jacob, he’s 19, from another place in Yorkshire, and he is attending another college in York, where he got a football scholarship. We have had a lot of funny nights together with uncontrollable laughter and stupid jokes across the dinner table. Sadly, I don’t have any pictures of them right here, but I will definitely get some pictures soon!

This is my bed right under the window. By now, we have been so lucky with the weather, so I cross my fingers that it will last!

The bathroom – small but nice!

As you can see, our home is full of colours, flowers and plants! Beside of that our host family absolutely love quotes, which is resulting in a quote on every wall. It’s really nice here, and we live in such a charming home!

Autumn 2k15 dream wardrobe
